Before criticizing this article, you need to think of the context. If it had been written by some editorialist in Britain or France, it could be seen as an example of spreading hatred with simplistic and biased attacks on a different religion (Islam).
But instead, it was written by a young Egyptian who lives in a society dominated by Islam, where non-Muslims like him have very limited public voice, and where Christians get attacked. As such, it is understandable he feels the way he feels. Good for him.

Actually boys perform better in segregation. In UK performance of boys has steadily declined - due to the mixed gender environment. Nearly ALL studies have shown boys perform better in segregated environment.
